On December 4th, the Jasper High School Earth Club completed their fall litter pick up. Students in the club volunteer a day each semester to pick up trash around campus and some of the surrounding properties. Thank you to these students and staff member, Mr. Dodd, for keeping our campuses clean. The hard work put in by these students helps to keep Jasper Great.
The Jasper High School Student Council is participating in a Community Food Drive with the other county Student Councils. Proceeds will be donated tot he Dubois County Community Food Bank and The Dove Recovery House. The Drive will be taking place November 28th to December 9th. Items needed are rice, pasta, canned tomatoes, canned sauce, canned vegetables, canned fruits, canned soups, mac and cheese, cereals, cereal bars, flour, sugar, oil, canned ravioli, canned spaghettios, and cash donations. Items can be dropped off at all county high schools.
Throughout the collection, the Student Council will be creating a canned food display. Stay tuned to see how the display turns out!
If you do not know a student that attends a county school but would like to contribute, you can contact Julie Ferguson at jferguson@gjcs.k12.in.us for more information. She can help to coordinate a drop off at the school or can arrange for Student Council members to come and pick up the items.
